A Vegetarian in Dublin

I have been a vegetarian for about 5 years now. I do eat eggs but no meat and no seafood (I get this question a lot). Having never traveled to Europe I wasn’t sure what my eating options would be, but I am finding the choices more diverse here and the food better! I had excellent food throughout my trip, but these are the places I loved the most in Dublin.

Bonobo Bar and Garden Pizza

I had the Potato & Pancetta Pizza, it’s a decent size pizza and I was able to get two meals out of it. My friend, Nicole, a fellow vegetarian, joined me and found this place. We sat on the patio and our waitress was from the states. She moved to Dublin last year and absolutely loves it! The pizza was incredible but my favorite was the Guinness Espresso Martini!!

Potato & Pancetta Pizza; Mozzarella, Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, Smoked Pancetta, Bianca Sauce, Parmesan, and Black Pepper.

Paired with a Guinness Espresso Martini  and a pint of Guinness.

Cornucopia Restaurant

A full vegan restaurant. I enjoyed the Vegan Chicken Salad with a fresh pressed green juice (Cucumber, Celery & Apple).

Even if you are not vegan, I highly recommend Cornucopia, especially if you are wanting healthy options. They have a wide array of items to choose from in the salad bar and the aesthetic of the restaurant is adorable!

Murphys Ice Cream

Across from Cornucopia Restaurant is this delightful ice cream shop! A friend told me the best ice cream they ever had was in Ireland and that I had to try it. It did not disappoint!

I had a scoop of Chocolate Whiskey and a scoop of Peanut Butter, two of my favorite things. Oh my, it was delicious!! 100% recommend stopping for a few scoops.

MV CILL Airne Restaurant and Bar

This restaurant is a boat on the water and would be a great date restaurant or place to meet up with friends! This was my bougie splurge, it was a fun place to eat, but I would have preferred to go there with someone. If you are traveling solo, bring a book because you will be at a table by yourself. I was hoping to eat at the bar and make friends but the bar wasn’t for that. Still a great experience and fun night of being bougie.

Proof Urban Italian

Be sure to dress your best if you want to take pictures at this instagram worthy restaurant. Even this restroom decor is fun! I went for brunch and had the Proof Breakfast Pizza minus the bacon.

Rocket is what we call in the states arugula, you will see rocket all over Europe and I think we should change the name of it as well. How cool does it sound to say I’m having rocket salad versus arugula salad?

Proof Breakfast Pizza: Rocket, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Eggs, Bechamel Sauce, and Bacon (I ordered without this).
