Starting in Toronto- Brampton
When we arrived in Canada it was warm and sunny, yep WARM!! I don’t know when that changed exactly but we definitely took that time for granted and wasted far too much of it. This was just one of couple of fails to note for our first weeks in Toronto. First of all we booked a place in Brampton, with last minute bookings and funds dwindling without working we thought saving a few $$ on accommodation would be smart.
We were horribly wrong. Brampton or Brangaldesh as the locals call it is far, far. faaaaaaaar from everything! All that beautiful weather was wasted on staying in and looking for a better place to live find jobs and generally researching the ends. We had to rent a car to do anything downtown or venture anywhere out of our surrounds, which was expensive but totally worth it.
Having the car meant we did go further like Niagra falls further. OMG it was sooooooo beautiful the falls totally live up to the hype and are must do in Ontario 1000%. Check out Niagara falls official website to plan your trip. https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/
Niagara is about an hour drive out of Toronto, but watch those exit signs closely because we did not and ended up in America by accident. Yer that happens apparently all the time, so the local TSA agents were understanding and even without any passports on us, they let us flagpole in and out which is just a big ass U-Turn lol. You may not get that lucky though so on a drive to Niagara I recommend taking your passport, juuuuussst in case.
Once at the falls you can walk around the falls and if you wanna be a proper tourist and get a free shower hop on a boat and go into the falls. We opted out of this option for three reasons 1) You cant see the falls when your in them and 2) We did not have spare clothes and it was getting cold. 3) I just wasnt that into it. So this ones a personality fit yer.
The surrounding city of Niagara is like a fake ass, lame ass, no class having ass version of Vegas 😑 I was not impressed to say the least tack levels were off the charts and the casinos actually gave me like a temporary depression. Sure if you love a gamble and have a group of friends you can make it work just like you can make your house work, in fact just stay home or look at the pretty waterfalls it’s much better on that side of the rainbow. So now time and sanity are running out in Brampton so where to next… hmmm…
